Are you not entertained?!?!

You see this flick? Well, this picture caused me to lose my Facebook account on Tuesday. I posted it from bossip.com, and it was up for a few hours - there was even a decent discussion regarding the placing of this picture in its proper perspective, and its effect on both Hip Hop and Popular culture at the time (the two have merged since then. Hip Hop is Popular Culture now.) A couple of hours after posting it, I received an email from FB explaining that the picture violated the rules of the website, and would be removed. I wrote a status about the removal - something about snitches getting stitches for telling on me, and within minutes my page was diasbled.


Of course I didn't really mean that I was going to give stitches to the person that reported me. I'm not a serial killer, or a mass murderer, or a latent homosexual college student with parent issues, social issues, and access to weapons (Okay... i may have access to weapons.) I'm simply one with a voice who doesn't appreciate being clandestinely silenced by a secret quorum. Still, i miss my FB page. 1,750 Friends.. public figure pages, contacts, all of the email threads... It's a shame to have lost it all due to Kane in speedos and idle threats.

I'm reminded of a Jay verse. He said, "But I will not lose, cuz even in defeat there's a valuable lesson learned so it evens it up for me." You see, when the grass is cut, the snakes will show. I gotta thank the homie FB for that though. Everyone isn't ready to hear everything. We Americans are selfish fuckers. We believe in freedom of speech, so long as what's being said applies to us in a positive sense. Criticism and self-evaluation are NOT tolerated. How dare you look at yourself in the mirror!! God forbid you may have to admit that alas, you aren't the fairest of them all. It is better for you to simply peer into the image we've fabricated for you, for that is your true self, at least the self we wish for you. We live in a time where everything is pre-packaged for us, even reality. Through television, the internet, and through every possible media outlet we are constantly "fed" what to wear, what to drive, what we should eat, the politics we should believe in, what defines an adequate lifestyle, who God is or isn't, and any other factor or attribute which impacts your life on this planet.



I'm to blame for my predicament, because I assumed Facebook was a place where self-expression was encouraged. Silly me. Why on earth would a Social Networking site that's home to over 500 million people encourage self expression? Revolutions have been started through self expression. March 1775, Patrick Henry was speaking in the House of Burgess. The House was undecided on whether or not to mobilize against encroaching British forces. Patrick Henry expressed himself, saying "Is life so dear, or peace so sweet, as to be purchased at the price of chains and slavery? Forbid it, Almighty God! I know not what course others may take; but as for me, Give me Liberty or Give me Death!" Immediately following his speech, those white boys went home, grabbed their shotguns, and waited to peel caps at anything with a British accent. One man's self-expression can ignite thought and inspiration to a whole nation. So then, in a forum where you can literally speak to the world, you have to assume that the things you say and do are being monitored.

So, by all means you can visit and take part in this zoo we call Social networking. You can even feed, and pet the animals. Just do not rattle their cages. They don't like it when you rattle the cages because you may just rile the animals up.


And here I am, a habitual cage rattler. I can't help it, because deep down I know that both the animal and I understand that he shouldn't be in a cage, rather he should exist in the open as an inhabitant of this world and not a prisoner of it. The same has been done to the Truth. The truth has been caged like an animal in the zoo. The truth is no longer an inhabitant of this world, but rather a prisoner of it. You can look upon it, and even take pictures next to it. However, the moment you choose to rattle the cage and rile up truth the zoo keeper is going to kick you out. A lion is no longer King of any jungle, though he is still packaged like that in a zoo. His cage is decorated like the Jungle and the title above his cage says "King", but he is a victim of circumstance now, and no more. We all are victims of circumstance. Our smart phones, and laptops, and our vehicles and lovely homes, and our wonderful clothes and great restaurants - it all works to make us comfortable. The sign above our cages say "Human Being", but are we really? Or are we more programmed, like robots trained to react to stimuli, dependent upon machines to do everything for us, including telling us what is true. Don't believe me? Ask yourself one question; Do you know how to grow your own food? If you say no, then are you okay with depending on the machine to feed you?





I'm rambling, so I'll simply make my point and be out. Truth is defined as "A verified or indisputable fact." Soul means, "The spiritual part of humans regarded in its moral aspect. The seat of feelings, emotions, and sentiment." The lesson learned was that if I want to speak truth and soul then I have to do it outside of the zoo, out of the reach of zealous zoo keepers. Thus the start of my introduction to blogging. I will say whatever I want to on here, and I implore you to do the same. In order to free up the truth, we have to free up our level of communication with one another. With that in mind, be prepared when you come onto this blog to be bombarded by ideas - some of which you will enjoy, some of which you will abhor, all of it meant to rattle the cage of Truth, the intent being to eventually get Truth worked up so much that it breaks out of its cage and kills all of the zoo owners. Oh man.. I just threatened folk again. Is my account going to be disabled? Oh, that's right... this isn't FB LMAO!! I'm feeling this blogging shit already..
